Without a doubt it is indisputable that if we go to the island we will visit Cagliari or Alghero, but the truth is that there is much beyond the most touristy areas, so this time we will tell you some well-known places and others that are not so.

Sardinia is a very touristy island and it is difficult to find places that are quiet in high season, but there is always a town where you can take shelter to enjoy greater tranquility. In this last selection there are also some important places for their deposits or for being places of leisure.

Orgosolo would be a simple and quiet town in Sardinia if it weren't for its vindictive murals, which fill everything with enormous creativity. These murals mix with the simple life of the villagers and give this place a unique charm. Today it is one of the essential visits of the island, to surprise us with the large number of murals and works that are in its streets. The tradition of the murals began with a group of Milanese anarchists in the year 69. This was the beginning, but today more than 150 murals can be found scattered around the town. This town is in the interior of Sardinia and was formerly a place of bandits. Today it receives visits from those who want to see its murals, but it is not a very touristy place.

In this place you can enjoy a huge marina full of yachts in summer, with all kinds of restaurants and bars. In addition, it is the ideal place to go shopping, with exclusive brands in the city center. Another of the main attractions of Porto Cervo is the nightlife, since it has discos and places to enjoy a good party.

In this area there are many small coves and beaches, highlighting some such as Cala Goloritzé or Sirboni beach. It is possible to take routes by road, but it is also an area that can be accessed by boat.

In it we can see the Castle of Sassari, leaving only six defensive towers of the original construction. Do not miss the Calle de la Marmora, a place where the gentry lived centuries ago, and which today still preserves beautiful buildings.
