One of the most popular slogans in the city is "from Madrid to heaven" and Heights are in fashion thanks to the spectacular rooftops where you can have a refreshing cocktail under the stars on those hot summer nights.
The hotels in Madrid have some of the most chic as is the case of the Radio Rooftop Bar of the Hotel ME Madrid in Plaza de Santa Ana. It combines music with good gastronomy so that customers can enjoy a magical night.
The same thing happens with the Hotel Room Mate Oscar in Plaza Pedro Zerolo, perfect to combat the summer days in its small rooftop pool or sipping one of the more than 30 cocktails from its drinks menu lying in its lounge area with Balinese beds and panoramic views.
The rooftop of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, 56 meters above Alcalá Street, is another of the places to drop in this August to savor a delicious cocktail while contemplating the city's skyline or attending one of the concerts or exhibitions that the Circle organizes these holidays.
Speaking of the Madrid skyline, the views from the top of the Hotel Exe Moncloa are absolutely spectacular. From its terrace you can see the western area of Madrid and its green lungs such as El Pardo, Parque del Oeste and, in the background, the Sierra de Guadarrama. Verbenas and chotis in the downtown area
Madrid in summer cannot be understood without its traditional festivals, three of which are held in contiguous neighborhoods and consecutively during the month of August. On the 2nd, those of San Cayetano began in Embajadores until the 8th, they continue with that of San Lorenzo from 9 to 11 in Lavapiés and end with the festival of La Paloma, the largest of all, from August 12 to 15 in the Latin.

Madrid of cinema
Moviegoers have a date with the capital this summer. The Cineteca del Matadero de Madrid, in the Legazpi roundabout, has programmed six special cycles with daily screenings of more than 40 outstanding titles on the big screen.
The films are divided into the sections 'All Time Classics', 'The Prodigious Decades', 'Great Animated Stories', 'Jewels of Silence', 'Single Pass' sessions and the screening of the documentary series 'Pacifico'. Admission will be free until all seats.
They will also be able to enjoy open-air cinema at the Fescinal, located in the Parque de la Bombilla, where more than 200 films will be screened; the one that is enabled in the Magnetic Terrace of the Casa Encendid (with sessions on Saturday nights), in the Crystal Gallery of the Palacio de Cibeles to see classics and cult cinema or in the Auditorium of the Parque del Calero, in Ciudad Lineal, with seasonal movies.
Have a picnic in a park
The Buen Retiro Park is probably the most popular in Madrid, due to its beauty and age. However, in the capital there are many other green areas to visit in the heat of heat to try to cool off, take a walk and even have a picnic.
