8 ice rinks to enjoy skating in Madrid for Christmas

Cibeles Palace Crystal Gallery

CentroCentro Cibeles becomes the ideal place to enjoy skating on its ice rink located inside the Crystal Gallery of the building. During Christmas 2017, anyone who wishes can go to the Plaza de Cibeles in Madrid to slide down its 400 m2 track next to a large Christmas tree.

CentroCentro Cibeles will also host an extensive program of storytelling and creative workshops. Meanwhile, the elderly will be able to rest and regain strength in the cafeteria of the Crystal Gallery.

The entrance to this ice rink costs 6 euros for the rental of the equipment and about 30 minutes of skating. It will be open from December 21 to January 5.

Columbus ice rink

Two 300 m2 ice skating rinks have been installed in the iconic Plaza de Colón in Madrid. Both are inspired by the well-known rinks at Rockefeller Center in New York or the ice rink at the Museum of Natural History.

The booth has more than 1.500 books distributed in its more than 90 m2 with a range of the most varied in terms of literary genres. Once Christmas is over, all those books will be donated to the city's public libraries.

The entrance to the Villa de Vallecas ice rink is free and it will remain open from December 1 to January 8.

Vicálvaro ice rink

At the Vicálvaro fairgrounds, this Christmas an ice rink has been installed that will delight children and parents, because it is free. In addition, like the Colón rink in Vicálvaro, they offer introductory ice skating courses. Those who want to come and try can do so between December 11 and January 7.

Plaza de la Luna ice rink

In the center of Madrid, next to Gran Vía, is the Plaza de la Luna ice rink. The one-hour ticket costs 5 euros, except on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, which costs 7,50 euros. To skate it is necessary to use gloves, which are sold on the track itself for two euros. The Plaza de la Luna ice rink will be open throughout Christmas between 10am and 22pm.

Berlin Park ice rink

Leganés ice rink

With its 1450 m2, this ice rink is one of the largest in Madrid for skating. It is open all year round and has the peculiarity that they offer figure skating classes. Ticket prices are around 6,50 or 7,50 euros depending on the day and time.
