Gulpiyuri Beach

Gulpiyuri Beach

Gulpiyuri Beach is one of the most peculiar of Spain and the world, and is that it is in the interior, it does not directly face the sea, but it is between meadows, although near the coast. This makes it a mystery, almost magical, as if it emerged from the earth itself. The explanation is very simple, and is that the sea water enters through tunnels in the rocks and reaches this tiny beach of 50 square meters, which nevertheless receives many visitors because of how peculiar it is.

This beach is located between Llanes and Ribadesella, and it is reached through the town of Naves, the closest. In it you can walk on the rocks to listen to the 'Jesters', the noise that the water makes when it sneaks through the rock tunnels. Bathing in it is essential, although being in the north of Spain, in Asturias, the weather will not accompany it until summer.

Garajonay National Park is located in the La Gomera island, and represents 11% of the island's surface. This park is named after a legend in which the lovers Gara, who was a princess from Gomera, and Jonay from Tenerife decide to sink a spear and jump from the highest peak due to the disapproval of their parents. Beyond the legend, this park is a magical and mysterious place, especially for its lush forests and for those clouds that usually accompany them most of the time, which gives them enough humidity to stay with that greenery.

In this forest you can enjoy the laurel forests, laurel forests that are survivors of the ancient subtropical forests that existed in Europe and North Africa millions of years ago, so it is like entering another world, in the past. In addition, there is a visitor center and many trails already marked, so family walks are a great activity. In the Laguna Grande area there is an ideal space to rest, with picnic areas, a restaurant and a children's playground.

Hells Throat

Hells Throat

The Hells Throat has a somewhat shocking name, although it is a natural place of great beauty. It is located in Extremadura, specifically in the Jerte Valley. This is a protected nature reserve, where we can find many waterfalls and peculiar rock formations. There are many streams that end up giving the river Jerte, and that on their way create waterfalls and small waterfalls, which make up a beautiful landscape. There are many hiking trails but the best known is Los Pilones, natural pools created by water erosion on the rock.
