Cantarriján beach in Almuñécar

cantarrijan

La Cantarriján beach, located west of Almuñécar and facing the Maro cliffs in the Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Park, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Tropical. It borders the border between the provinces of Malaga and Granada (it is precisely the last Granada beach to the west) and is a very popular place among fans of nudism. A little hidden gem but worth getting close to.

Despite this difficult access, it is a beach that is usually always full of people. It is barely 400 meters long and, before reaching it, many people stop at the viewpoints to enjoy the beautiful views of the Mediterranean. As a whole, Cantarriján presents a calm and paradisiacal aspect. There is a first bay when you arrive, which is where people who wear swimsuits concentrate, since once past the rocks of the cliff it is the nudist area. Some even say that this beach is still a small intimate secret that it is better not to discover the rest.

In Cantarriján you can lie quietly in the sun, take a dip, go hiking and explore the area, go up to the viewpoints, rent a pedal boat, enjoy a massage or go scuba diving. There are also two restaurants, sun loungers and umbrellas, kayak rental, etc ...

- Additional Information

The beach can only be reached by car between the months of September and June. In July and August the road is only open to regular bus service, at the price of two euros, which runs from the car park to the beach throughout the day. In this way you have to leave your car in the parking lot and take the bus that takes you through a path with many curves and vegetation.
