In 2017 it was my land, Huelva, city of prawns, strawberries, hams and good tapas ... Well, we already have a successor: León, Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2018. What does this mean for the city of León? Much tourism, especially the one moved by good gastronomy and culinary delights. The city will have a whole year, 365 days to carry out these 155 activities of the program offered before this contest. Will León be able to delight locals and captivate visitors? Surely yes!

This award has been awarded by a jury made up of professionals from the world of tourism (Turespaña, FITUR, Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies, Spanish Confederation of Hotels, Institute of Spanish Tourism Quality, National Paradores), from the world of hospitality (FEHR, Taste Spain, Good Table Restaurants Association, Euro-Toques European Community of Cooks, Circle of Centennial Restaurants and Young Restaurateurs), from the world of communication (tourist journalists from FEPET) and finally, institutional representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture. A compendium of thinking minds with which they met all the keys and needs that a gastronomic capital should have.
