Almería has been a summer resort for decades and on its coasts we find some of the best beaches in all of Spain. It is not surprising that among them there are some nude beaches that are the favorites of the visitors. It has 250 kilometers of coastline and for a few years it has been one of the best-known destinations for naturists, not only in Spain but in all of Europe. Nudism came from Germany and stayed on our shores, being today something very natural, so much so that there are exclusive beaches for it.

Vera beach
If we go to talk about nudism in Almería without a doubt you have to talk about Vera Beach. In many beaches it is allowed to do nudism or use a swimsuit, but in others it is only allowed to do naturism because they are exclusive for it. Vera beach is one of those naturist beaches in which the use of swimwear is not allowed, which is why it has become one of the most visited places for nudism. In fact, near the beach there are nudist urbanizations in which residents can lead a totally normal life outside the beach while practicing nudism. This beach is one kilometer long and in this area we can find the only naturist hotel in Spain, the Vera Playa Club.
Beach of the Dead
This beach It is located in the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata and it is one of the best known in Almería. It is in the municipality of Carboneros at a certain distance, since the 1600-meter beach is in the middle of the natural area, in a place of great beauty that seems unspoiled. There are several paths that lead to the beach but to get there we will have to walk, so it is recommended not to carry too many things. It is not recommended for people with little mobility but it is certainly worth the journey. It is a beach where you can do nudism but also sports such as snorkeling thanks to its crystal clear waters.
Genoveses beach
This is another of the beaches that are in the natural park and that is well known by tourists from around the world. It is located in a bay and has with a fine golden sand that gives it an idyllic appearance, since there is an area with small dunes. In the north there is a small forest to shelter from the sun, making it an ideal beach to spend the whole day. In addition, its waters are quite calm. It has a fairly high occupancy and it was common for people to be seen doing nudism all over the beach, although it is not mandatory and nowadays it is more common in the north.
Mónsul Beach
This beach is well known for having been in one of the 'Indiana Jones' movies, but it is also one of the most beautiful sandy areas in Almería where you can also do nudism. It is only 400 meters long, so it is usually crowded in high season. It stands out for its rock formations of volcanic origin and for the area of the great dune.
Barronal beach
From Mónsul beach you can visit Barronal beach along the coast. From its eastern area we will walk along the coast until we first reach the Barronal cove and then the beach. This sandy area is twice the size of Mónsul and is a well-known nudist beach. It has easy access and being among the most popular beaches it is easy to visit. It is better known for nudism than others such as Mónsul or Los Genoveses in case we want to look for a place with a more nudist atmosphere.
Lead Cove
For those who look for a more discreet place to do nudism and perhaps not as popular as other beaches is Cala del Plomo. A small cove located between rocky areas and away from the population. This cove is only two hundred meters long, so it does not offer us much space, but it is surrounded by volcanic rock formations, which gives it a touch of privacy that others do not have. On the other hand, it is a beautiful beach with golden sand and incredible crystal clear waters that invite you to dive and swim for hours. From this cove we can access other nearby ones such as Cala de En Medio, where you can also do nudism.
