Aveiro is known as the Portuguese venice, and it is famous for its canals, on which the moliceiros sail, the typical boats similar to the gondolas of Venice. It's like enjoying the essence of Venice but with Portuguese taste, all very original. And there are still more things and places to discover in little Aveiro.

How to get to Aveiro

The most common thing when going to Aveiro is to take a plane to the Porto city. From the famous Sao Bento train station, with its white and blue tiles, you can catch a train to get to Aveiro. A journey of about 45 minutes in these moliceiros It costs about five euros, so it is a fairly affordable price. They are motor boats, so we should not expect them to take us like in the Venetian gondolas, but they still have their charm, especially if you look at the paintings on the bow. During these walks we can already see a large part of the city, which is not very big.

In addition, in this street there are food stalls with the 'tripas', which are like sweet crepes.

La Barra beach It is a large sandy area where we can enjoy a leisure-oriented area, on the boulevard, with cafes, restaurants and shops, and other more remote areas, where people do nudism or seek greater tranquility and a feeling of being in contact with the nature.
