Portimao es una ciudad de Portugal que se encuentra en el Distrito de Faro, a 2 kilómetros del mar, siendo considerado como un importante centro para el turismo y la pesca en Algarve. Portimao tiene una extensión de 183 kilómetros cuadrados y una población de 55.200 pobladores.
