Formentera (BALEARIC ISLANDS): The best beaches on the island (IV)

04a

Formentera offers the ideal destination to enjoy its wonderful beaches surrounded by a preserved natural environment. Its coasts of fine white sand and its transparent waters, combined with the climate and the generous sun of the Mediterranean coast create one of the last wild paradises.

The coasts of Formentera stretch for 69 km. occupied by rocky sections and beaches both sand and gravel. It has 22 beaches, of which 18 are sandy. From the Llevant beach, one of the most extensive, even small coves like Cove Codola, passing by more solitary beaches like the s'Espalmador island or Alga beach, where you can only get there by boat and that still remains as a virgin place.

The most popular beaches in summer are Cala Saona and the beaches of Ses Illetes, Cala d'en Borràs and Pas de s'Espalmador, without this implying a massive occupation. Caló d'es Morts and Sa Roqueta, have a smaller influx. However, in high season we can also find quieter beaches such as Punta de sa Pedrera or Ses Canyes, lonely beaches that still retain the flavor of ancient Formentera. For those who like gravel beaches, Caló des Moro, Caló d'en Trull and Cala en Baster. These coves, along with the Tramontana beach offer their shores to nudism lovers.

I met Croatia, it was a pleasant surprise, how beautiful it is, and how well it serves, I respect them because they have suffered a terrible war and how well they are getting up, and the speed of reconstruction.
