- Cyprus
Located in the Mediterranean Sea, the island of Cyprus is made up of two thirds of the so-called Republic of Cyprus and for a part that was occupied by Türkiye in 1974, occupying a total area of about 9.250 square kilometers and a population of around 784.301 inhabitants. However, and in addition to this, it also houses the military bases of Akrotiri and Dhekelia, belonging to the United Kingdom.
- Corsica
North of Sardinia and also in the Mediterranean Sea (being the fourth largest island that is located in it) we find the island of Corsica, south of the so-called Blue Coast. This island is part of France since 1768 and has an area of about 8 square kilometers and a population of around 680 inhabitants. Corsica is divided into two departments, High corsica (Corsica suprana) and Lower corsica (Corsica suttana).
- Crete
The largest island of Greece and the fifth of the Mediterranean Sea, with an area of about 8 square kilometers and a population of around 336 inhabitants, is none other than Crete, a place where we can discover one of the most important civilizations in the world, in addition to various monuments and places of interest, such as the Knossos Palace or diverse Minoan archaeological sites.
- Zealand
Zealand is the largest island in Denmark and is located between eThe Kattegat Strait and Baltic Sea, with about 7 031 kilometers of extension and with a population of about 2 130 600 inhabitants. Among its peculiarities we highlight large populations of seals on its coasts.
- edgeoya
Sometimes known by the name of edge island, Edgeoya Island is also one of the most important in Europe, since its size, about 5 074 square kilometers, makes it a relatively large territory. This island is uninhabited and belongs to the Svalbard Islands archipelago.
