Naturist beaches in Andalusia

If you go to the Spanish Tourist Office you can find out how it estimates that around 1 million tourists visit Spain every summer with the express objective of practicing nudism. To this number can be added another half a million Spaniards who regularly or occasionally also enjoy sunbathing just as their mothers brought them into the world.

More and more people are heading to the nude coasts to enjoy the beaches without shame and without stereotypes, enjoying showing their naked bodies with no other intention than to connect with nature.

The naturist beaches of Andalusia

Naturist beach in Andalusia

Andalusia is the autonomous community with the most kilometers of nudist beach in Spain, that is to say, beaches where its bathers wear absolutely no clothes on a regular basis. Coves and busy beaches can be found and some with fewer people, but the reality is that there are a lot of places on the coasts of Andalusia to practice nudism and that you can have your whole body well tanned. Remember that it is very important that you use high protection sunscreen, especially in those areas of your body with the most sensitive skin.

Also and as if that were not enough, if you want to practice nudism also outside its beaches, you should know that there are also naturist accommodations so you can practice nudism in total comfort. There are campsites equipped for this, apartments, rural areas and even 4-star hotels. You just have to choose the accommodation that you like the most to be able to show your body in the calmest way!

On our southern shores

Costa de la Luz

Between Cádiz and Huelva we can find several beaches among which both nudism and swimwear coexist. Some of these beaches are Bolonia, in the province of Cádiz, specifically the nudism area is on the left side of it. Zahara de los atunes also has a nudism spot on Arroyo del Cañuelo Beach. The Los Castillejos beach in Caños de Meca, surrounded by rocks and the La Cala de Aceite campsite have also dedicated an area for naturism. If you want to visit Conil de la Frontera, you can also sunbathe naked like on Castinova or La Mangueta beach.

And of course You will not be able to forget the famous Matalascañas in Huelva, surrounded by the Doñana National Park. The main beaches are usually crowded in summer, but it has a great nudist beach: Cuesta de Maneli.

The naturist beaches of Cádiz and Huelva are in the golden area and are also ideal for walking, running, playing, practicing sports and having a great time. Many of these beaches have the opportunity to choose to wear clothes or not, so you can see groups of friends or families who are nudists and others who are not. But they all respect each other.

Costa del Sol

In the semi-urban beach areas, where there are fewer people and they are somewhat less crowded, you can also find your place for naturism. Costa Natura stands out above all, near the Malaga municipality of Estepona and inaugurated in 1979, as it was the first naturist complex in Spain. Cabopino, in Marbella, you have a super long beach surrounded by dunes and pine trees. Benalnatura in Benalmádena, you have a small naturist paradise to enjoy relaxation and nature.

Nor should you lose sight of the coast of Mijas and go to the Naturist Beach of Playa Marina since it is the newest of the naturist beaches in Andalusia, since it was inaugurated in 2012.

Another beach that may interest you is in Gaudalmar, Torremolinos (Málaga) where you will find an official nudist beach of the city next to the mouth of the Guadalhorce river, in the San Julián neighborhood.

Costa Tropical

Although the Granada coast is not very extensive, we can also find some wonderful nudist beaches there such as Cantarriján, near Almuñécar, Playa El Muerto in Almuñécar itself, Playa de la Joya in Motril and the Negratin Reservoir in the surroundings of Cuevas del Campo.

There are many nudist beaches that you can find on the Costa Tropical, so you only have to choose the one you like the most to be able to enjoy the sea, the coast and your body under the sun.

Almeria coast

Andalusian naturist beach

Vera Playa is the most famous and naturist of the place, since in it we can find authentic naturist urbanizations and even a 4-star hotel, the Hotel Vera Playa Club, ideal for lovers of complete solar baths.

But as if that were not enough in Cabo de Gata, San José you can find the treasure of hidden coves, strange rock formations, volcanic cliffs and nudism in most of the beaches.

On the Beach of the Dead, in Carboneras (30 minutes by car from Vera Playa), is part of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, near the town of Carboneras. There are no facilities and access is on foot through a somewhat steep ravine but can be accessed well by walking. It is a beach to miss but they are small and do not bother much. This beach is popular with naturists and also by those who do not want to undress. Both naturists and non-naturists share this beach-

As you have seen, the coast of Andalusia is full of great beaches, and the best is that if you are a naturist person you have many more options than in another part of the country. Therefore, if you want to spend a quiet summer and be able to go to the beach as you feel most comfortable, you will only have to choose the beach that you like and enjoy your naked body.

And if you want to know all the beaches, you will only have to write down the ones you want to visit and take a route of naturist beaches until you discover which one you like the most to spend every summer. But remember, if you want to know all of them, it may take you to discover them several summers, there are many!

The Levante Beach - Los Toruños del Puerto de Santa Maria could be added. It is a long beach of kilometers between the urbanization of Valdelagrana and that of Cadiz. Occupancy is low, gradually moving away from the urban beach of Valdelagrana, less bathtubs are seen and nudity becomes normal. Windy beach of light sand, without services. You can even get there by train, getting off at the Valdelagrana station (Cercanias; direct connection with Cadiz and Jerez, from Seville or Cordoba you need a transfer) and walking a few kilometers.
