La Tenerife island is one of the most sought after destinations in Spain for its great warm climate throughout the year and for the large number of beaches it has. Many of these are nude beaches and allow you to do naturism quietly while enjoying the sun and a good swim. If you are going to visit the island you may want to know a little more about the nudist beaches it has and what they offer.
All the nude beaches may offer free nudism or be spaces in which nudism is obligatorily performed. The vast majority of them allow you to freely choose who visits it, to enjoy all the options. We will see what the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands can offer us in terms of nudist beaches.
La Tejita Beach
La Tejita is the sandy beach that extends next to the Red Mountain, which is one of the most characteristic points of the island that can be seen from the air. This beach stands out for its clean waters and for being a place to surf, since it usually has some waves and wind. A site that must be visited, although there are more secluded beaches, but in any case it stands out for the landscape in which it is located and for being one of the most famous.
Los Morteros beach
This beach is located in a small bay, so it is more intimate and welcoming than other larger ones. It is located near the Natural Area of the Cliffs of La Caleta and the urbanization with the same name, which is the ideal place to stay. This cove is isolated if we compare it with others but it is very pleasant and quiet, so it is worth it. It is a protected natural space and therefore we will find ourselves in a very beautiful environment where nudism can be practiced. In addition, it offers crystal clear waters perfect for snorkeling or diving.
La Pelada Beach
This island has many coves due to the erosion of the sea on the volcanic rock over the years, so it offers us many places in which to do nudism in a quiet way. La Pelada beach is located just past the El Médano area and it is a small cove between rocks with the typical black sand of the island and with a length of about 80 meters. It is small but cozy, it has no services but you can leave your car nearby so it can be a good option if you don't want to walk too much.
Red Mountain Beach
This beach can be seen when you come to the island because it is close to the airport. I know about a volcano called the Red Mountain that is really characteristic and that stands out in the landscape. This beach also gives us the possibility of doing nudism in a unique landscape environment that we cannot find in the Peninsula, so we should not hesitate to approach it. The cove that is known as Playa de Montaña Roja is a much more intimate place than the beach of La Tejita that extends next to the mountain and is better known. In both you can do nudism although this small cove in a rocky area is more welcoming.
Patos Beach
This is one wild beach considered one of the most beautiful in Tenerife to practice nudism. Crystal clear waters, dark sand and green mountains that stand out and create an incredible mix of colors that is truly spectacular and unique. It is located next to Ancón beach, separated by a ledge. This Orotava beach is really beautiful but you have to be careful when bathing in the currents so it is not very suitable for families.
Las Gaviotas beach
If you pass by the Teresitas beach, which is popular on the island, you have to stop at Playa de las Gaviotas, where nudism is allowed. It is surrounded by some spectacular cliffs and nudism is free, that is, we can wear a swimsuit or not. The only drawback is that at high tide it is smaller, but if we go at low tide we can enjoy it much better. It is only 250 meters long but it is a beach away from tourist complexes in a quiet area and that is why it can be perfect to enjoy a relaxed day at the beach.
Benijo Beach
This beach is really famous and stands out by Roque Benijo and Roque la Rapadura. It is a well-known image of Tenerife and also another beach for nudism. A wild beach with black sand and a lot of waves that we cannot miss when we go to the island. It is also the perfect place to enjoy a good sunset.
