'O Camiño dos Faros' in Galicia in eight stages I

Camiño dos Lighthouses

The other day we talked about hiking routes to do in Galicia, and one of them had to be summarized a lot, because it is a really interesting and very long route. We talk about 'O Camiño dos Faros' or the Camino de los Faros in the north of Galicia, joining Malpica and Finisterre in 200 kilometers. He ends up meeting the end of the Camino de Santiago on his way to the end of the world.

This time we are going to see these eight stages in detail, each one differentiated. It is an interesting route because it can be done in stages, in parts or just choosing the stages that interest us the most. If we want to do it in one go, we will have to do it in a little more than a week, one stage per day and we must bear in mind that some sections are difficult and there are many climbs, so you have to train a little in advance.

Ready for the Camiño dos Faros

This route is almost like doing a part of the Camino de Santiago with which to get the Compostelana, and that is 200 kilometers they go a long way. If we are going to do it in separate stages, the preparations are minor, but it is important to carry a backpack with water and some food, as well as warm clothes or rain depending on the season and especially trekking shoes that we have already used and that work for us. comfortable to do the whole route. Sunglasses and sunscreen should never be lacking, even in winter. In the case of doing the route followed for a week, we must look in advance for places to sleep and we must bring clothes to change.
