Poo beach, in Asturias, is located within the protected landscape of the Eastern Coast, a scarce kilometer from the municipality from which it takes its name.

The islets of Poo Beach

In addition to the views of the beach itself, there is a path that starts from the part to the right of the beach and allows you to contemplate the nearby cliffs and islets. The Castro Pelado islet is the closest to the Poo beach exit, while located to the east is a set of spectacular islets known as Castro de Poo islet, Palo de Poo islet and Castro de la Olla islet.

How to access Poo beach?

Its accesses communicate directly with the AS-263 road. However, the railway line is also close and there are several parking spaces available for those who want to go by car.

Poo is a small town located two kilometers from the center of Llanes to which many tourists come in search of contact with nature and tranquility. Here many of the visitors who come to Poo Beach stay as this municipality has a wide range of apartments, hostels, campsites and rural houses.

Its artistic proposal is one of the most impressive in the area, since it has churches and monuments of great value such as the Palace of the Dukes of Estrada, the House of the Lions or the hermitage of San Salvador. The old town of Llanes is where the monumental complex is located and its landmark is the basilica of Santa María del Concejo, one of the greatest examples of Gothic architecture in the area.

As for rural tourism, if you like hiking, you cannot miss doing one of the routes that lead to the Sierra del Cuera.
