How to go?

Given its location on the outskirts of Sant Antoni de Portmany, the narrow road that must be taken and the final slope, reaching this beach by walking or cycling is not recommended. So, The car is a good option to go to Cala Salada for those who get up early as the car park is very small and fills up quickly. As soon as it is complete, access to more vehicles is prohibited to preserve the environment or facilitate the entry of emergency services if necessary.

Another option is to take the bus that passes every 15 minutes at the stop next to the Can Coix sports center. and it takes just over five minutes to get to Cala Salada. Its price is 1,90 euros each way and it works from mid-May to September 30.

Cala Salada can also be accessed by sea, through a ferry trip of just 45 minutes from the port of Sant Antoni. This option is very interesting to get to know the surroundings of Ibiza and its coast from another point of view. The most sporty can also dare to get to know this cove by paddling a kayak to it.

Services

Just a step away from these two twin coves there is only the Cala Salada restaurant to eat. It was born in the 70s when it was just a kiosk on the sand. Later it moved to its current location on the left side of Cala Salada. Family in character, they are specialists in Mediterranean and fish dishes such as bullit de peix, arroz a banda or lobster stew, among others. Taking any of these dishes on the terrace overlooking beautiful transparent waters is a unique experience for lunch or dinner. In season it opens every day and it is recommended to book in advance.

Other services that we can find in Cala Salada are showers, hammocks, umbrellas and pedal boats. In Cala Saladeta there are no such services but there is a group of people who are there to make life a little easier for tourists.: sellers of empanadas, sandwiches and cocktails, Ibizan dresses, sarongs and a long etcetera. However, there is always the possibility of transporting your own fridge full of ice if you want to keep it cold throughout the day.
