The Bavarian Lakes in Germany

One after another, this is how the different lakes that arise south of Munich. If you rent a car in the city and you intend to make a small route around the surroundings, something highly recommended, the slow evolution of the landscape will accompany you with the famous Bavarian lakes. Did you know that in this region there are more than two hundred lakes distributed?

Well yes, it is not surprising then that German tourists, especially those from this region, with the arrival of summer go to bathe in one of these lakes. If the weather is good, it is ideal to take a getaway through this blue swarm of Germanic nature. By bike or car are the best ways to get around here.

To the south of Munich, and against the backdrop of towering mountains, peaks that appear snow-capped almost all year round, we have the picturesque region of the Five Lakes. Of them, my favorite is the Lake Starnbergersee, in which one can bathe and even go scuba diving. The views of this lake from the viewpoint on the Allmanshausen cliffs are unique.

Around this lake there are up to fifteen marinas for sailboats. Imagine then the number of tourists who love water sports who come here in good weather. Without a doubt, there is also the possibility, in all of them, of being able to take a small boat trip, enjoying the views of the landscape from the waters of the lake.

Another of the most touristic lakes is the Lake ammer, in which you can always see small sailboats, or the lakes Chiemsee and the famous Lake Constance. But possibly the most picturesque and striking is the Lake Walchensee, the largest mountain lake in Germany, located about 800 meters high.

People come to this lake to do everything and have a great time. Diving, sailing and even surfing. It is also a paradise for lovers of fishing. Imagine being surrounded by an intense green landscape, wooden houses, a good German beer and fishing under a halo of peace and tranquility. Priceless, right?

The Bavarian lakes They also offer healthy tourism, the one that is so fashionable lately. For this they have the Staffelsee Lake, the warmest lake in the region. Its waters do not drop below 25 degrees, making it an ideal place to bathe even at any time of the year. They say that the healing properties of its waters are excellent.

Definitely, the best thing is to rent a car, get a bavarian lakes map at any Munich tourist office, and enjoy a unique and pleasant landscape.
