The beaches of Santiago de Cuba

As we have said many times, summer is synonymous with beaches, sea and sun and in the Caribbean Sea, my favorite destination when it comes to summer, one of the best places is Cuba. We have talked to you about Cuba and its beaches before but today we have to better specify which are the best beaches of Santiago de Cuba. This city is located to the east of the island and was founded in 1515, being one of the first towns to be founded. With so many centuries of life behind it, it is a very attractive city, with many architectural styles, streets, parks, colonial houses with many balconies, a beautiful cathedral and an open-pit copper mine that was the first of its kind in all America.

But it is on the Caribbean so its beaches are what attract many tourists. Yes, they are not as beautiful as the beaches of the north coast but they have crystal clear waters and a pleasant temperature, few waves, they are bordered by coconut trees and other trees that almost get wet in the sea and they always have a lot of sun. The beaches begin in the outskirts of the city and the first of them is located just 14 kilometers away. Is the Siboney beach. Due to its proximity it is the most frequented, but they follow Daiquirí, Juraguá, Bucanero, Costa Morena, Berraco, Cazonal and Sigua. Some of them have hotels for international tourism so there are also diving centers, a prehistoric park, an aquarium and other attractions.

Going west from Santiago de Cuba we have another set of beautiful beaches that this time have mountains. 18 kilometers away we came across Mar Verde, Caleton Blanco, Ox Cabón and El Francés, for example, beaches that also have tourist facilities.
