The best islands in the Caribbean, according to USA Today

Aruba

When they ask me for the best Caribbean beaches We always come to the conclusion that on each island or Caribbean country you are going to find that little paradise in the form of crystal clear waters, white sands and a postcard of palm trees and coconut trees. That's why today we go to the American newspaper USA Today, which has developed a list where it lists those places where you can find some of the most beautiful Caribbean beaches.

First of all they quote Eel, a small British territory in the Lesser Antilles just over 20 kilometers long. Along its coast we find a total of 33 ideal beaches to enjoy the sun in a relaxed way or to practice any water sport. Second we have Aruba and its northwest coast, full of beaches, hotel chains, rental cabins on the water and the spectacular beauty of Arikok National Park.

These two are followed by the archipelago of 700 islands of the Bahamas, which offers a wonderful cocktail of open beaches, hidden coves, virgin paradises, mangroves and coral reefs. In most of them there is a great atmosphere, both day and night. Something similar to what happens in Barbados, which is divided between the east coast, where surfers and adventure seekers throng, the quiet beaches of the west and the picturesque cliffs of the south coast.

One of the largest beaches in the Caribbean, more than ten kilometers long, is located on the island of Grand Cayman. It is the Seven Mile Beach, where we will find turquoise waters for bathing or diving, hotels, casinos, restaurants and everything we want. Near the Bahamas we have the Turks and Caicos Islands. One of the main ones is Providenciales Island and its Grace Bay Beach, one of the great paradises of the Caribbean. Its shallow waters are ideal to come as a family.

Finally, the Virgin Islands and its wonderful national park, especially the Trunk Bay area, and the islands of Culebra and Vieques in Puerto Rico. The latter are enclaves of enormous natural beauty and in which we can enjoy scuba diving, walks on foot or by bicycle and guided adventures through the jungle.
