The Carlsberg Brewery
I still remember the wonderful beer route that they organized for us from the Copenhagen Tourist Office, To get to know the Carlsberg Brewery which is located in the Danish capital. This brewery, founded in 1847 by JC Jacobsen, is one of the essential visits that you should do in the city, especially if you are lovers of this drink or want to get out of the tourist routine a bit.
Today much of the production of the Carlsberg beer originates from elsewhere in Denmark, although the main factory is located in Copenhagen. A visit to this factory will take you to know a little more about the history of this beer, its production process and you can also visit its permanent exhibition of machinery, bottles and other curious objects related to it.
For example, we will see the largest collection of beer bottles in the world, including Carlsberg bottles and others from different brands. This collection was registered in the Guinness Book of Records in 2007, accounting for a total of 16.384 bottles. From 2007 until now I can assure you that this collection has grown in number, which is frankly shocking.
Alongside this collection, the factory has a sculpture garden, a set of works of art collected by Carls Jacobsen, the son of the factory's founder. Among these sculptures is a smaller version of the famous Little Mermaid of Copenhagen. And it is precisely Carl Jacobsen who designed and created the original statue, after falling in love with a dancer who passed through Copenhagen starring in the ballet of The Little Mermaid.
But there are more attractions inside the factory, such as its stables, where you can see Jutland horses, the horses that this factory originally used to transport and sell its products.

The tour will end at the bar located on the first floor of the brewery, where you will have the opportunity to try some of the products that you have not tried until now.
The visit can last about an hour and a half to see everything well. The factory suggests that you never arrive later than 14.30:XNUMX p.m. so that you have time to see everything.
The ticket price includes two beers or soft drinks that you can have after finishing the tour of the factory.
