French Dress

France today does not have a unique urban style, although it could well be mentioned as a few of the details that make it stand out the search for a style that goes between the bohemian and the elegant, which can also be seen in several of its most representative streets, being after all the peculiarity of many of its cities.

Going a little further back, traditionally it is usually spoken of the presence of suits for both men and women where a long skirt while for men the presence of pants and shirt accompanied vest or jacket or with a hat.

It is also often talked about luxurious aristocratic costumes that were presented during the French monarchical period, being considerable as too baroque thanks to the excess of details and the use of the most luxurious fabrics and silk to achieve the desired finish.

The aristocratic women were usual the gathered silk skirts, decorated with gold threads. Jackets were also used over blouses.

Middle-class women used to wear tight, one-piece dresses with sleeves.

From yesteryear to today, scarves in the form of layers, are part of the french fashion.
