'The secret Life of Walter Mitty' is a 2013 film directed by and starring Ben Stiller that was shot in part in natural settings in Iceland. Now a travel agency offers packs that give tourists the opportunity to relive the experiences of the protagonist.

Nordic Visitor has taken advantage of the pull of the ribbon (they would be foolish if they didn't) to create a two tours made up of the same beautiful places that Walter Mitty visits, such as charming fishing villages, glaciers, volcanic areas, waterfalls and more.

'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty', which revolves around a dreamer who escapes from his monotonous life to live a great adventure around the world, was filmed in the town of Stykkisholmur (on the Snæfellsnes peninsula), Reykjanes, the Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon (south coast) and Seyðisfjöður, in the eastern fjords, among other impressive places.

The agency offers two vacation packages based on the film (both customizable): Pearls of the South and the West, covering the highlights from the Snæfellsnes peninsula to the south coast, and the Iceland Grand Tour, which gives tourists the opportunity to take a road trip across the island, going one step beyond the adventures of Walter Mitty.
