Three resorts in the Seychelles Islands

I am planning my next vacation and after spending several in winter destinations I want a beach destination. A place to relax is the main objective, a destination with wonderful landscapes, great sunsets and first-class service.

That size Seychelles island? Whenever I travel by Emirates I run into people who pass in Dubai for a few days and continue on their way to Seychelles. Of course it is not a cheap destination but if it were a honeymoon or an anniversary perhaps ... It is time for a dream vacation. So behold three luxury resorts in Syechelles.

The Seychelles Islands

It is a island nation made up of 115 islands in a portion of the beautiful Indian Ocean 400 square kilometers, a few degrees south of the equator. There are larger and smaller islands, some coral, others very rocky.

The Seychelles are reputed to be a luxury destination and it is enough to know their hotels to coincide, but it must be said that beyond the resorts it's a great wild life destinatione.

Le Chateau De Feuilles

This resort is on praslin island, a granite island that is the second largest island in the nation. Here is the Valle de Mai, a site that is a World Heritage Site for its sea coconut forests. The resort is precisely in Pointe Cabris and you can get there by plane from Mahé, on regular flights of just 20 minutes that depart several times a day. You can also do the helicopter trip.

It is a very small and super exclusive accommodation because it only has nine rooms and suites divided between those that are located in the château and those that are in the local-style bungalows. There are five types of rooms and a villa with two bedrooms. Have five stars category and in the Seychelles it is the only accommodation that belongs to the prestigious world association Relais & Châteu.

The resort overlooks St. Anne's Bay and it is very romantic, perfect for couples. He owns a nearby island, Grande Soeur, which can be rented separately or enjoyed on weekends. It is surrounded by palm trees, orchids, tropical flowers and birds. Beyond lies the warm blue lagoon of the Indian Ocean. Its restaurant is considered the best in the Seychelles and offers a full breakfast, lunch à la carte and dinner.

As well offers spa serviceIt works at the top of a hill so the view is glorious. It also has a panoramic jacuzzi from which you can see the sea, the twelve neighboring islands and the horizon. Imagine that with your partner! And how much does this wonderful place cost? What are your rates? It is worth clarifying that you can hire the service with breakfast included or half board (a kind of all-inclusive), which does not, however, include drinks.

With breakfast only the rates range from 473 euros to 806 euros, depending on the room. With half board they are from 611 euros to 944 euros per night per person. These prices are without taxes (15%) and services (10%), and for a minimum of three nights. They also include the free rental of a car, fuel and insurance are paid separately) and a day trip to the island of Grande Soeur.

Fregate Private Island

This private island is east of the island Mahé, the main island of the archipelago. It is a granite island that emerges from the sea with seven beautiful beaches, so private that even the turtles choose them to spawn and in other times Arab pirates used it for refuge. From Mahé you arrive by ferry or helicopter in just 20 minutes.

El complex has 16 villas which are built on the slopes of one side of the island. They are connected by trails with the port and the restaurant and except for these constructions the rest of the island remains wild. That has its pros and cons. As the hand of man is not very present, the beaches are sometimes taken over by turtles but hey… that's how it is. The complex itself is very luxurious with private pools for each villa, terraces and details everywhere.

Each villa has a exclusive butlerYou can go diving, deep-sea fishing, surfing, kayaking, or other water sports. There's a gym, bar, WiFi and spa. This spa is in a privileged position, with great views and surrounded by lots of green. The products are very natural, as are the ingredients of the meals, which in a high percentage are grown on the island.

Rates? Very expensive. I see rates of 4700 euros per night...

North Island Seychelles

North Island is another granite island which is close to Mahé. It measures just 2 square kilometers in area And it looks like you are literally floating in the Indian Ocean. You get there only by helicopter and it is perfect for nature lovers.

The largest villas measure 450 square meters and they are very luxurious, decorated in colonial style, with wood and pure cotton. Villas 1 through 10 are two bedrooms but Villa 11 is the largest and is for couples. They are made of local wood and They have their own pools and all face the beach. The complex has a heart that is where there is a kind of square and the bar is overlooking the sea. It is the meeting place where meals are also served if you do not want them in the villa or on the beach.

The staff always double the number of guests and it is such an exclusive place that there is no menu in the restaurant as the chef cooks what is caught. Rates? Well, villas from 1 to 10 cost around 2500 euros per night and villa 1 about 4 thousand euros. Obviously include all meals, drinks and cocktails (except wine).

It also includes snorkeling excursions, kayaking, guided hikes, mountain bike rides, fishing days, laundry AND WiFi and the use of a buggy to move from here to there.

With hotels like this I think that what I envy the most to a millionaire is precisely what their eyes can contemplate. Can you imagine a few days in any of these beach paradises?
