Tourism in the rain in Mexico City

As the southern hemisphere enters winter, the northern hemisphere begins to heat up and fear for those terrible days of extreme heat. Hopefully this year we won't have heat waves as intense as those of previous summers, right? But well, while those from the north can travel south on vacation and escape the heat, those from the south, with winter vacations, come north to enjoy some warm days. In North America one of the most interesting countries from the historical, cultural and natural beauty point of view in Mexico.

Mexico has everything, beautiful beaches, ancient ruins, mysteries, museums, a great colonial past ... what more could you ask for? The gateway to this country is usually the DF, the Federal District or Mexico City. It is a huge, cosmopolitan city with shops, theaters, cinemas, shopping centers, restaurants, bars and museums. You must dedicate a few days to it before continuing to travel to the Caribbean coast. I know it is one of the favorite destinations of many tourists. But is it very hot in Mexico City? Well, the city has a temperate climate and does not usually suffer from extreme temperatures. Thus, while in winter the maximum is 18ºC in summer it is around 28ºC. Although it is a tolerable temperature between May and September it rains a lot, almost every day.

So, what can you do when it rains in Mexico City? Well, you can visit the National Museum of Archeology, the National Museum of History-Castle of Chapultepec, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Frida Khalo Museum, the Palace of Mining, the House of Tiles and the lurid Exhibition of instruments of torture and capital punishment on Calle de Tacuba. As you can see, on your route you must include roofed sites so if it rains the best thing you can do in Mexico City is not to leave a museum without seeing.
