It's been a few days since we started the year and in Travel News we thought maybe it would be nice to do a traveler alphabet (I) and (II). This traveling alphabet is totally subjective and adaptable to anyone. What is it about? With each letter of the alphabet we will suggest a country or city that we have visited and liked so much that for this reason we recommend, or else, a country or city that we would love to visit and get to know at least once in our life.
Do you like the idea? If so, I leave you with my private traveler alphabet. I am almost sure that we will meet in many places and also that I will forget many others ...
-A- Agra (India)
Why Agra and not anywhere else in India? Because I'm just dying to visit the Taj Mahal... That great mausoleum has always caught my attention and I have wanted to visit it for years. We start this traveling alphabet with a main course, but it will not be the only one… Watch out for the following places!
-B- Barcelona (Spain)
I had the pleasure of being in Barcelona for 10 days and I fell in love with the city. A city that has everything: sea, mountains, green places, a wide cultural range, all kinds of shops, very diverse people,… One of those cosmopolitan cities where you can stop and live for a while to discover and get to know. A super dynamic city that barely sleeps a few hours a day.
C- Copenhagen (Denmark)
Have you ever heard the song "Copenhagen" by Vetusta Morla? Since I heard it I wanted to visit this city. It has wonderful places to go such as: Christiansborg, the Marble Church, Tivoli Gardens and the Nyhavn canal with its colorful floors on the sides. Of course, it is better to visit it in the spring or summer months since in winter they can reach perfectly -15 ºC.
-D- Dublin (Ireland)
If I like something about Dublin, it is the extensive and solid literary career of the place, not only because of the authors it has given such as Bram Stoker, Samuel Beckett or Oscar Wilde himself, among others, but also because it is the setting for many works by James Joyce.
I would like to walk and play sports in the Phoenix Park, which is the largest urban park in Europe or go out and have fun in its nightlife area known as North Wall Quay.
-E- Egypt
It may not be the best time to visit this country but its great pyramids are well worth at least one visit in your life, right? And the Great Sphinx, built during the Ancient Empire of Egypt.
-F- Florence (Italy)
A small city, with few inhabitants (about 380.000 approximately), but surrounded by a metropolitan area of more than a million people.
Its most popular places are: the Republic Square, the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, the National Museum of San Marcos, the Basilica of Santo Spirito, the Accademia Gallery (where we can see great works such as "David" by Miguel Angel) and the Basilica of San Lorenzo.
-G- Gran Canaria (Spain)
The place that never leaves the Sun. Always with warm climates, busy beaches and crystal clear waters, friendly and lively people,… A perfect place to not only go from time to time but also to stay for a long time.
-H- Hawaii (USA)
Who has never dreamed of taking a walk along the Hawaiian coast? Did you know that this coast is 1210 km long? It is the fourth longest in the US after Alaska, Florida and California.
-I- Indianapolis (USA)
-J- Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz, Spain)
For its people so close, for its horses, for its wines, for its zambombas at Christmas, for being a city close to the beach and for many more reasons, I choose Jerez de la Frontera with the letter "j".
-K- Kyoto (Japan)
Because few places have I seen with so much color in their landscapes ... Especially in autumn. And because of how different its constructions are.
-L- London (England)
With the letter "l" we bring you a typical city but a must-see, especially for Europeans. How not to visit London? With its river Thames, its Big Ben, its double-decker buses traveling the streets of the city or the red telephone boxes.
-M- Milan (Italy)
Every time I think of Milan, elegant and well-dressed men come to mind, and Milan's fashion is one of the best known and most prestigious in Europe.
-N- New York (USA)
There are few reasons to give to want to visit New York, right? The cradle of cinema with its walk of fame, its skyscrapers, its yellow taxis, its multicultural variety, etc ... Who does not have New York on their wish list of trips, raise your hand!
And so far the first article of our traveling alphabet. Next Saturday, January 9, we will go with the second and final part of it.
