Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, a beautiful coastal city in the Dalmatian region bathed by the Adriatic Sea, which stands out for its cleanliness. Travel to Dubrovnik is to know this ancient city and walk through its streets, but there are also many tourists who come to this area for the wonderful beaches and the purity of the crystal clear waters, in search of good weather and a place to rest.

If there is something that characterizes many of the dubrovnik beaches is that not all have the typical sand print, but many are pebble beaches, so it is common to see people with hammocks and chairs. However, its beaches are still a great claim when looking for trips to Dubrovnik to enjoy the sun.

Banje

Banje

If you are going to travel to Dubrovnik and stay in the center, surely more than one day you will go to the famous Banje beach. It is a beach located just a few minutes walk from the old part of the city, so it is very accessible. It has its advantages, since it is very central and has a great atmosphere and people at all hours, in addition to having all kinds of services. In the high season it even has an atmosphere at night. However, if you are one of those who runs away from crowds, it is better that you do not go to this beach, because it is one of those that is packed in the middle of the season, to the point of being somewhat overwhelming. To avoid these crowds there are other nearby beaches to which we can move.

Buza

Buza

Buza surprises tourists because it is not a typical beach like the ones we usually visit, with its sand. This beach is located on the rocks, with natural stone terraces in which people sit down to enjoy the good weather and take a dip in the Adriatic in its calmest areas. Of course, it is also very central, since it is next to the city walls of Dubrovnik and is easily accessed. It is also a good place to enjoy an aperitif in the sun while enjoying the seascape.

Saint James

Saint James

Sveti Jakov is already at kilometer and a half from the well-known Banje, so it is not that crowded. From it there are wonderful views of the walls of Dubrovnik and the island of Lokrum, in a natural environment and less oppressive than that of the most urban beaches. The beach is a mixture of white stones and golden sand, and it is possible to do many sports, as it has many services.

Veliki Zal

Veliki Zal

We go a little further, so to get to Veliki Zal we will have to rent a car. It is located 15 kilometers from the city of Dubrovnik, in Brsecine. It is also possible to take a bus from the city to reach this town, in just over half an hour. This beach stands out for being a small cove surrounded by dense vegetation. An oasis of calm very different from the most touristy beaches that we can find next to the city. Although you have to move around a bit, it is worth enjoying a day on one of these small beaches near Dubrovnik, as it does not take long to get there and the scenery is worth it. It does not have as many services as others or with the possibility of doing so many sports, but in return you can enjoy great tranquility and a beautiful natural area.

Dance

Dance

Dance is just a few minutes from the old town and is one of the first to be used as a beach. It is of the oldest but it is also peculiar, since this beach has large rocks that serve as terraces to rest in the sun, but it lacks the typical sand. In Dubrovnik we must get used to this type of beach, as they are quite abundant. In many there are hammocks or chairs for rent, although there are many people who rest on the rocks. Although it is not as comfortable as others, being one of the oldest, it is worth visiting it to spend at least a few hours in it and enjoy its clean waters.

Lapad

lapad

At Lóleo Eventos, Lapad peninsula we find several consecutive beaches separated by rocks, two and a half kilometers from the old city. They are reached by a pedestrian path with entertainment venues. You can easily go from one to the other through the rocks to choose the corner that we like the most to spend a quiet day. As in all the beaches near Dubrovnik we can enjoy extremely clean and crystalline waters. These are also beaches where you can enjoy sand, something that is not found in all of Dubrovnik, so they are chosen by many to spend a quiet and comfortable day.
