Church of the Santa María la Mayor,
Right next to the Castle is the important church of the town, that of Santa María la Mayor. It's a temple that represents the Levantine Gothic in this province, as it is very well preserved. Construction began in the XNUMXth century but was remodeled with later additions. It is a church with a nave with three sections with side chapels. During the Civil War it suffered damages, since the Renaissance altarpiece that it had was destroyed and also part of the facade that was rebuilt later. When arriving at the church, what will undoubtedly stand out the most is its large rose window and the entrance with some gargoyles and carved stories.
Portal of San Roque
The Portal de San Roque is the access to the old town of the city. It is easily reached from the stone bridge that passes over the Matarraña river. It is one of the seven gates of the old wall and today it is one of the most photographed places in the town, along with the medieval bridge.

Near the church we find the Plaza de España, a central point of the old town, where there is also the City Hall, which is a historic building.
