The canal is crossed by four bridges, one of them being the famous Rialto. The other ones are the Puente de la Academia, the Puente de los Descalzos and the Puente de la Constitución. It is for this reason that this channel can also be seen on foot, although from the water we will have another perspective, so both walks are recommended. St. Mark's Square
Saint Mark's Square is one of the most representative places of the city of Venice and where are several of its most important monuments. It is the heart of the city and in it you can visit the Ducal Palace and the Basilica of San Marcos. Also noteworthy are the Campanille and the Correr Museum. This is the lowest point in the city, so when there is high tide it is the first area to flood. This is one of the most important museums in the city, so if we are going to see one, this must be it. In it is the largest collection of Venetian art in the world and it is a picture gallery of great importance. In the XNUMXth century, the creation of this museum was carried out to gather in one place all the works that were scattered around Venice, obtaining this important collection. In it you can find works by Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto, Canaletto or Bellini.
San giorgio maggiore
This basilica has been very photographed from afar and it is a church that is located on the island with the same name. Built in the XNUMXth century with a marble façade, it has several paintings by Tintoretto inside.
