This place very frequented by newlyweds to take their wedding photographs is also one of the most photographed places in the city. Either because of its iron structure, because of its curved shape and / or especially because of the magic of the sunsets seen from the shore of the estuary, it is very common to see photographers (amateurs and professionals) walking around its structure loaded with their photographic camera. It was built by the English company Rio Tinto Company Limited in the nineteenth century and its function at that time was the landing of minerals from the cuMining encampment, mainly from Riotinto, by a railway of more than 70 kilometers for its subsequent maritime transport.

Estuary walk

This ride is just finished and it is being one of the most visited places this year by both locals and tourists (dozens of people gather there every evening). Finally, the city of Huelva can enjoy a real promenade with spectacular views thanks to this ride. It was a place highly anticipated by its inhabitants! In it you can walk while you make a stop to have a coffee or a mojito, in one of its premises.

Last August, on the occasion of the closing of the Columbian Festivities (Huelva's big festival), thousands of people gathered on this walk to enjoy the fireworks show that was executed from the aforementioned dock.

Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Cinta

This sanctuary built in the XV century, Gothic style, is the patron saint of the city, the Virgen de la Cinta, or the «Little Virgin» as it is also known by the people of Huelva.

This sanctuary is listed as one of the Columbian places, since Admiral Christopher Columbus visited the sanctuary to thank his fortune andn the first trip to America. It is located in the area called "El Conquero" which is the highest area of ​​the city and which we will also see and detail below, so that from this sanctuary you can see magnificent views of the city and its estuary.

If you look good you will be able to contemplate large areas of the capital Huelva: the Marismas del Río Odiel, the Punta Umbría bridge that crosses it, the towns of Corrales (the one closest to the capital) and Gibraleón and some of their neighborhoods: Las Colonias, the Barriada de la Navidad or the bullring of La Merced.

Moret Park

This park of 72 hectares it is nothing more and nothing less than the lung of the city. Is he The largest urban park in Andalusia and one of the favorite places of Huelva to take a walk, practice sports (you can find many people practicing 'running' o 'fitness') or enjoy its lake in a natural environment without leaving the city. Se has been able to demonstrate the presence of the tartessos, around the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries BC, who used it as a burial place for prominent members. In addition, we must not ignore the relevance of the Old Fountain, a Roman aqueduct that originally crossed the city from the Sanctuary of the Ribbon to the Cabezo de San Pedro and that can be discovered today.
