As you already know, each country differs from another by its customs and traditions, population and so on, and Russia is no exception. This time we will not make a travel guide or highlight the destinations but we will get to know the culture of this Eurasian country itself.
We are going to start by talking about one of its greatest customs that takes place daily in Russia and is recognized worldwide. We refer to drink traditional liquor in large quantities from the area called vodka. And what do we owe this for? It is not that Russians are alcoholics far from it, what happens is that the temperatures in this country are so extreme that it is a way to warm the body. Normally in Russia, you will notice that the consumption of vodka is basically intended for the male gender. Women for their part prefer to drink sparkling wine Sovetskoe Shampanskoe or Soviet champagne, a drink with less alcoholic content.
How do you greet in Russia? The greeting differs in different parts of the world. Although it is true that in South America and Spain we are used to kissing our friends on the cheek, this custom is not practiced in Russia but rather a polite smile is enough for friends.
Among other curiosities it is worth mentioning that flowers have great meaning for russians. Without a doubt, it is an excellent gift to offer when we go to visit a house. Of course, try to carry an odd-numbered bouquet, it can be 3, 5 or 7 flowers. And what is that for? That even-numbered flowers are given to the dead in cemeteries.
