Getaway to the Alpujarras of Granada

We started the Alpujarra itinerary in the seaside resort of Lanjarón (yes, it sounds like a lot to you), famous for the quality of its medicinal waters and for its dry and cool climate.

Continuing our journey by road, from Lanjarón we go to orgiva, western capital of the Granada Alpujarra. Orgiva can be considered the starting municipality of many guided excursions towards the upper area of the Alpujarra.

We continue and we now go to the most beautiful area of the Alpujarra, known as the Poqueira ravine. It is a valley covered with old chestnut trees in which there are three small towns and typical Andalusian white villages. They are: Bubión, Capileira and Pampaneira, which rise one above the other, forming the slopes of Mulhacén, the highest peak in the peninsula and also one of the most beautiful landscapes in Andalusia.

If we continue to the east, our route will take us to the town of Trevélez, located on the eastern slope of the Mulhacén.
