London Dungeon: Terror in London

London Dungeon

If one day you decide to travel to London, today I am going to tell you about a place where you can have a good time, apart from the most typical tourist attractions. The London Dungeon is a kind of museum, like a horror fair where in addition to exhibiting the most varied macabre objects, a group of actors and an excellent setting take the visitor to the most sordid episodes in the history of London.

This place was opened in 1974 And although at that time it cost nothing more than 3 pounds a ticket, currently the prices are more expensive. But you have something positive and that is if you enter their website  you can enjoy discounts on tickets and even special offers. So you can go to a great show in London

The museum, a horror fair or a morbid paradise, has a total of 8 spaces with varied themes.

Torture

Torture attraction in London Dungeon

The name says it all and if they call it "torture" it is because in this space you will only see macabre torture. You will be able to contemplate an actor as a condemned man who illustrates in a very real way (perhaps too much for people who are somewhat sensitive), the different methods of torture with which the "wicked" were punished in the history of mankind.

Visitors also participate in the show for what is an interactive show, so they can take the typical photo with their head stuck in the gillotine. Would you dare to take a photo in a room where so much terror and bloody scenes are reflected?

Labyrinth of the Lost

This is one of the most famous and long-awaited attractions of this place. Visitors are led into a gigantic maze with walls that are full of mirrors where they will have to find their way out on their own. This stay is definitely a rather cramped place not suitable for the claustrophobic since it seems that you have been locked in and that you will stay there forever.

In case the sensation of seeing yourself reflected from all possible angles is not in itself overwhelming, the perfectly characterized actors will try to scare you at every corner, and they will surely succeed! Without a doubt you will have to be prepared to be able to scream in terror every minute.

The great plague

London Dungeon

This room is set following the story of the bubonic plague that devastated not only England, but much of Europe around 1665 and that caused the death of millions of people. This is undoubtedly one of the most horrible historical moments that our society suffered because of so much pain, illness and death.

The visitors are taken to a room where a group of people recreate doctors trying to cure plague patients. The stench caused by the disease in people is also part of the setting of the performance, so it is ideal if you want to take some scented petroleum jelly to put under your nostrils in case you can not put up with the bad smell ...

Sweeny Todd

In this room of terror, it is a place where the subject tends to like a lot thanks to Tim Burton's movie: Sweeny Tood, known as the "Barber from Hell on Flint Street", will be in charge of giving you a good shave ... terrifyingly fun.

Without realizing it, you will enter the movie and you will feel afraid ... but you will not be able to stop having fun!

Traitor: Boat Ride To Hell

Actor who plays a killer in the London Dungeon

In this place you can find a figurative boat trip, perfectly set with fog and sounds of the sea. Although it seems that it is somewhat relaxed and that it does not have any emotion, after the trip that you will take of terror, you will have a gut in your stomach that will not let you be calm. You will be attentive to everything that happens around you!

Jack the Ripper

This space is dedicated to the famous prostitute killer "Jack the Ripper". You will be able to find a series of images with narration that recounts everything that happened around the last two victims of Jack. Afterwards, the visitors are taken to a makeshift mortuary where they show a film with images of three suspects. Only when you know all the news and all the data on this murderer will you chill.

The great fire of London

Group of actors

In this part of your journey of terror, you can find a video reporting everything that happened during the great fire that destroyed much of London in 1666. The smoke, lights, and sounds will make visitors put themselves in the shoes of the citizens who lived through that catastrophe. Because this place will not be something informative only, you will be able to feel what the citizens who died or who saw how everything was destroyed felt ... With those images in your mind you will find it difficult to fall asleep at night.

Extremis: Drop Ride to Down

In this part of the journey in this place, visitors participate in a mock trial, where they will be accused, unjustly tried and shot. This part of the tour is especially realistic so you will have to be prepared to be able to enjoy the show without getting too into the role.

How to get to the London Dungeon

Facade of the London Dungeon

If you want to enjoy all these shows you will have to go to 28-34 Tooley Street. If you don't know how to get there, you can take a taxi or find how to get there by tube, the closest stop is London Bridge. If you have any questions, if you want to book or if you simply want more information, you will only have to visit the website and see the discounts and shows that you can find.

In addition, within this museum you can celebrate events such as adult or children's birthdays. So it is important that if you want to celebrate an event, you should know that it will be an atypical celebration where the macabre and fear will become the protagonists.

Have you wanted to enjoy this show? Well, all you have to do is organize a trip to London, buy the tickets ... and enjoy a terrifying show!

I am super scared, but since I did not want to be left out while my brothers entered I ventured ... but my scares were great ... it is not for people who are faint of heart ... they make everything look very real and from time to time even the bravest of a jump…

But to those who like it, I invite you to participate ... and to those who do not, to gather a little courage (recommendation the earlier in the morning they go, the better the prices, they save a few pounds)
