Parla beach in Madrid

Parla Beach

In the capital of Spain, Madrid, we can do many things and visit very interesting places, such as the Prado Museum or the Parque del Oeste. Even in summer we can enjoy a salt water bath, while having fun with our family or friends.

This place, although it is not a beach, is known as the Parla Beach. In reality, they are several saltwater pools surrounded by sand and surrounded by grass that invite you to relax and help you endure the hottest days without having to take the plane to go in search of a beach. Parla beach is located, as its name indicates, in the city of Parla, 16,4km south of Madrid. It was designed by the architect Manuel Canalda, and is part of a sports and leisure infrastructure, accessible to all audiences, also to those people who have a disability. In this place you will find several pools: one for adults that has a gradual depth of up to 1,60 meters, another for children and a third that is a recreational pool with a 25-meter slide. In total they occupy almost 4.000 square meters, a surface more than enough to spend an unforgettable summer.

In addition, it has a large 800 square meter promenade of fine sand along the edge of the adult pool. And if it seems little, you should know that when you feel like eating something, you can go to one of its two picnic areas or to the restaurant. Even children can have a great time in the playground, or playing on its 22.000 square meters of lawn.

The price difference between outsiders and registered residents is incredible, we are all from Madrid and there are larger, more beautiful pools, and with much more variety. That will soon be closed due to lack of people who pay those prices. We are a real scam. It is cheaper to go to the beach.

The price is exorbitant. And the temperature in summer is not as usual, it is higher. It doesn't seem like a neutral article, it looks more like an advertisement.

I think that the price for those who do not live in Parla is high, they should lower it and surely I would be one of the loyal customers with my family. We are 4 adults and a 6 year old girl. The truth would be expensive. You have to lower the price, more equitable, because outsiders start spending when we take the car to go to Parla.

Hello, it seems to me a very high price for those from outside the city, or at least also have another type of price for those who are with the demand for employment, as the municipal swimming pools do of course that on weekends the price is normal, I am sure that if its price would be cheaper, it would be there 2 or 3 times a week.
    A greeting.

We were yesterday, NOT REGISTERED 12.75, registered 7,50. I do not remember the children, because my little girl does not pay because she is under 3 years old. Umbrellas DO NOT HAVE yet, so you have to take it with you, although if you go relatively early you have a lot of shadows in the trees.
The atmosphere is very calm, it is great. They have a picnic area next to the restaurant. The regulations state that you cannot eat on the grass, but we were all with the refrigerators and the sandwiches, and the employees did not say anything, I think because it is so widespread.
Except for the prices, highly recommended.

I think the price is great, if they put it lower it would fill up with people and they wouldn't be there too. I would put it at 20 euros a ticket.

It seems that either you do not have a family or you are a rich man because we are a family with 2, 3 children 100 to go to an artificial beach anyway ... They spend less if they are going to spend the day in Valecia ..

It seems to me an exorbitant price, on the web it says I think about € 10 and in a comment € 12 for non-residents. For that it is better to go to any swimming pool that is good and pay half or less. And for salt water, it is better to go directly to the sea for an adventure, leave in the morning and return at night. You spend about € 60 at most, expenses included.

The surprising thing is that there are no discounts for large families, or disabled people unless you are a resident, and I say if my large family title and the disability card are worth it throughout the Spanish territory, why not in Parla? , ahh they are not Spanish hahaha!

I think it's super expensive, on top of that if you don't have a car and you have to go by renfe it's already a paston and then have a good time with all the heat, it's not worth it, the prices are so exorbitant, this is not PARIS, IT HAPPENS SAME GOOD IN ANY POOL IN THE COMMUNITY OF MADRID.

Yesterday we were a group of friends and although the entrance costs 12,75 the enclosure is very comfortable very clean the pool is huge and has a water park-type slide without a doubt we had fun throwing ourselves, it also has a beach bar with affordable prices and variety. Definitely a good experience.

They should make it clear that these prices are for locals and not for those who arrive from other parts of Madrid.

I do not understand why it costs more to attend those of us from outside. Cities and monuments are visited by anyone and there is no supplement for tourists from anywhere. It seems fatal to me, we are all the same, wherever we come from, where is that equality so requested by all Spaniards
