In this area of the island of Phuket there are many national parks, forests of tropical beauty, golden sand beaches and white sand beaches and an infrastructure well prepared for tourism. If you like nature, Khao Lak is really something beautiful. In 2004 the tsunami passed a bit above it and the hotels had to rebuild their facilities but today that is history and there are again hotels, ponds dotted with lotuses and green gardens. At least until the next tsunami.
Besides resting here in this thailand beach you can walk on the back of an elephant, visit wonderful caves, go hiking, explore temples or go rafting.
