Before starting our route today we must make it clear that the term "market" in China is appropriate to a space where we can find many products of the same category. For example, if we want to buy jewelry, then it will be a good idea to go to the pearl market, if we want to buy clothes, it would be an excellent idea to go to the fabric market, and so on with different products. It seems like a good strategy to achieve specifically what we are looking for, don't you think?

First of all we will go to Tai Dong Market. It is an antique market. Of course, the funny thing is that you will not necessarily find expensive objects from the last century. In Shanghai, antiques can be understood as objects that were produced last year. Keep that in mind, it is not going to be that you pay high costs thinking that the merchandise is very old when in reality it is not more than a year after being created. If you want to make your purchases in this market you must go near the Xizang Nan Road. It is necessary to indicate that it is a market that only serves during the day, from 9:30 in the morning until sunset. What objects can we find here? A series of souvenirs with Mao's face, photos of the country, porcelain objects, chopsticks, among others. You can buy or if you prefer to just walk it is also valid. The only thing we can assure you is that you will not get bored. Of course, a tip is to negotiate and haggle the prices, surely you will get a great discount. Do not forget.

Second we will visit the Pearl Market. It is a wholesale market for this type of jewelry. You can find a wide variety of pearls, whether they are extracted from fresh water or from the sea. In addition to pearls, you can also find some precious stones and fancy crystals. Do you dare to buy any of them? Perhaps despite not being true they look like one and will cost you only a few dollars. Of course, remember to negotiate, maybe you can get more benefits. If you want to get here, you must go to the First Asia Jewelry Plaza establishment, right on the third floor. It is important to mention that the opening hours are from 10 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon.

Another place to buy pearls can be found in HongQiao. It is a market especially for tourists. The good thing is that the opening hours are quite long since it opens its doors from 10 in the morning until 10 at night. Enough to go through it completely and choose our favorite pearl.
