Strada della Forra, the scenic road of Lake Garda

On the banks of Lake Garda, Northern Italy, we found one of the most beautiful and spectacular scenic roads in the world. His name is The Strada della Forra (officially the SP38), a route that goes into the heart of the ravine formed by the Brasa river, between walls that sometimes narrow so much above the heads of the drivers that hardly any light enters, and ascending the steep hills that lead to the town of tremosine.

Motorcyclists flock to this road as if it were a sacred pilgrimage site, meeting its legendary curves, sharp turns and narrow tunnels. The road, which was completed in 1913, was christened by the German newspaper Frankfurter Zeitung as "The most beautiful road in the world." Years later it would fascinate the very Winston Churchill who dared to call it "the eighth wonder of the world."

This fascination has lived on to this day: its impressive views and the beautiful green landscape that surrounds La Strada della Forra have made it the most desired setting for many film directors and publicists that place the filming of their movies and car commercials there.

Many travelers recommend tour the Strada della Forra by motorcycle, although it will be quite impressive in a conventional car. Destiny is the least of it, here the end is the path itself, a true gem. Of course, before embarking on the adventure we must make sure that our vehicle is in perfect condition, especially the braking system, to avoid scares.
