Oman is a country with a perfect mix of cultural traditions and spectacular landscapes. Ancient cities of cobbled streets and impressive mosques merge with more than 1.700 kilometers of coastline at the foot of the Gulf of oman and Arabian Sea. How can you not find here magnificent beaches with crystal clear waters, unforgettable places for a dream vacation?
The first one that we recommend is Khalouf Beach, located south of Muscat, the capital of Oman. Its huge dunes and the fact that it is a bit away from the tourist bustle make it remain an almost virgin exotic paradise. A special place where fishermen can still be seen fishing with their boats and their nets on the shore.
25 kilometers from Muscat we find Bandar jissah, the perfect remedy to escape from the markets and the tourist masses of the capital. The contrast between the calm blue of the sea and the wild landscape that surrounds us is impressive. Another very traditional place, with the small fishermen's boats on the shore, but ideal for scuba diving.
On the southern coast of Oman, very close to the city of Salalah, is Mughsayl Beach. This beach has a unique charm, since it places us with its landscape in some of the best scenes in the Caribbean. Palm and coconut trees, banana plantations and huge waves hitting the cliffs. An extremely unusual enclave here in Oman but one that arouses the amazement of any self-respecting tourist.
Tiwi beach It is one of the best known beaches in Oman, especially for the crystal blue of its waters and for being the best place to dive in the Arabian country. At low tide I recommend you walk along the cliffs that line the beach. At dusk, a unique visual spectacle is presented to us.
Finally it is necessary to emphasize Ras Al Hadd Beach and its green turtles. Located on the eastern tip of Oman, this area is one of the oldest in the country since its history dates back three thousand years before Christ. See if its bay is protected, which served as a refuge for ships and airplanes during World War II.
