The town of Broadchurch that gives its name to the TV series does not exist, but the impressive landscapes that appear in it do. They're in the so-called Jurassic Coast of the county of Dorset, southern England. A fascinating region that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Most of the exterior scenes were shot there, with those spectacular cliffs that have become the great visual icon of the series, especially the one called West cliff and the beach of East Beach where the corpse of the murdered child is found in the first chapter.
