In this building you found the first center for primatological studies from Spain, promoted by the Prussian Academy of Sciences in Berlin and directed by the Gestalt psychologist Köhler. Hermitage of San Amaro
This hermitage, located in the area of La Paz is the oldest in the city. It dates from the XNUMXth century and at that time it was a Guanche area, although today this is already a central place that is surrounded by new and tourist buildings. It is a small hermitage that is closely linked to the ancient history of the city, so it is worth seeing, since the visit will not take too long. Nearby, some aboriginal archaeological sites were found on the cliffs, indicating the site of an important necropolis.
La Paz viewpoint
