Segovia is the city and municipality located in the community of Castilla y León. This city stands out for having been a place of Roman occupation, thanks to which today we can see monuments with the famous Aqueduct. In this city there is much to see, since its old area was declared a World Heritage Site along with the Aqueduct.

We are going to take a little tour of those places to see if we approach the city of Segovia. It is an old city that has interesting monuments from different eras and beautiful areas to walk through in the city.

The Alcázar is a monument of great importance in the city, located in its old town. This building was erected on an old Roman fort, of which some remains were found. It is located in an elevated area and was used as palace, fortress, prison or custodian of the royal treasure. At present it has tourist and archival purposes. It is possible to visit the Alcázar and see both the exterior area, with a Herrerian-style patio, and the interior with the royal dependencies. The Tower of Juan II has a panoramic terrace to enjoy incredible views of the city. Inside you can see the Fireplace Room, the Throne Room or the Galley Room.

This is the Santa Iglesia Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and San Frutos de Segovia, an elegant cathedral of great dimensions located in the Plaza Mayor of the city, another of its most important points. Inside the temple you can see XNUMX stained glass windows that fill everything with light and color.
