Traveler Alphabet (II)

abc oslo

Oslo (Norway)

As we saw a little over a week ago, we started this particular traveling alphabet. If you missed the first installment, feel free to visit the link here. We continue for bingo and today we present the second installment of this particular article, specifically the traveler alphabet (II).

If you are willing to discover places that you did not even know existed or remember those others that you have already visited but miss being in them, keep reading this article. Will you agree with me in the elections? Now we see!

-OR- Oslo (Norway)

With the letter "O" I choose Oslo for being a super cosmopolitan city but without having a million inhabitants. The thing that calls me the least about this city is your average monthly temperature. It's cold just knowing it!

  • January: - 5 ºC
  • February: - 4 ºC
  • March: - 1 ºC
  • April: 4 ºC
  • May: 10 ºC
  • June: 14 ºC
  • July: 15 ºC
  • August: 14 ºC
  • September: 10 ºC
  • October: 6 ºC
  • November: 0 ºC
  • December: -3 ºC

Another fact that I like a lot when visiting a city is that there is room for all kinds of religions and beliefs: Buddhist, Muslim, Christian, humanist, etc. This data says a lot about a city.

-P- Paris (France)

abc paris

Sorry to fall into conventions and typical cities to visit, but a romantic like me could not overlook a city as "dedicated" to love as Paris is.

Visit the Notre Dame cathedral, Torre Eiffel, Louvre Museum with its characteristic pyramidal shape, the Orsai Museum, etc ...

And I can't stop imagining myself with my partner hand in hand, walking through that long park that reaches right at the foot of the great tower… I love it!

-Q- Quito (Ecuador)

The Basilica of the National Vow in Quito, Ecuador. Neo-Gothic architecture. In Centro Historico, the Old Town. Quito is a UNESCO World Cultural Site.

Quito, or San Francisco de Quito to be more exact, is the capital of Ecuador, as you may already know. Why do I choose this city?

  • For being the oldest capital in South America.
  • By its good weather.
  • By the closeness and kindness of its people.
  • For its numerous visiting areas: La Moya located in the Valley of the Chillos, La Capilla del Hombre, the Pichincha volcano, its many churches and basilicas, its Metropolitan Cathedral, etc.

-R- Rome (Italy)

abc rome

Yes, this is going to be the typical cities article (I think). When as a child I played the typical game with my friends of asking ourselves "who would we marry," "how many children would we have," and "where would we go on honeymoon trips" (I think only women will understand this), Roma always answered the last question. And I didn't know her!

But I don't know, Rome together with Paris have always been those two typical honeymoon cities. And although he would not choose her for such a task now, he would not hesitate to visit her.

In Rome you will not have days to see it in full as it deserves:

  • Visit its great and famous Coliseum.
  • Su distance novel.
  • Su Pantheon of Agrippa.
  • La Navona Square.
  • La St. Peter's Basilica.
  • Toss a coin in your Trevi Fountain and make a wish, a dream to come true (maybe another trip?).

And it is that Rome would not select it only to visit, but I would be delighted to live there for a while ... Is it because all roads lead to Rome?

-S- Seville (Andalusia, Spain)

abc seville

I have been lucky to be born in the south of Spain, in the sunny and friendly Andalusia. And although I am from Huelva and I love my city above all (that's the truth), our sister city, Seville, is a must-see, yes or yes. Especially for those people who have not visited it yet. Of course, be careful going in summer! I would recommend the spring months to visit it, because in summer the heat is unbearable in the Andalusian capital.

What can you visit in Seville?

  1. Its amazing Plaza of Spain.
  2. The Giralda.
  3. El Real Alcazar.
  4. La Cathedral.
  5. The golden tower.
  6. El Guardalquivir River from his neighborhood of Triana.
  7. El Monastery of the Cartuja.
  8. La Becquer Roundabout, made by the same poet and sculptor, born in Seville itself.
  9. Its historic center.

And if you ignore me and visit it in the middle of summer, you can always visit Huelva, which is about 90 kilometers away and bathe in its great beaches. As well as visiting it that both in its coast as in his saw you can find countless beauties.

-T- Trinidad and Tobago

abc trinidad and tobago

If you want to visit a site by its splendid nature and its crystalline beaches, Trinidad and Tobago is a very good option to consider. Here we leave you an image only of what you can find there but if you look for more, you will fall in love with this place.

-U- Úbeda (Jaén, Andalusia)

abc ubeda

City and municipality of the province of Jaén in Andalusia. Úbeda, together with Baeza, was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco in 2003, for the quality and good conservation of its Renaissance buildings and its urban environment. This data can already tell us what this wonderful city offers us.

-V- Warsaw (Poland)

abc warsaw

It is the capital of Poland and today the ninth most populous European city, with more than 1,726,581 inhabitants. What can you visit here?

  • Museum of the Warsaw Uprising.
  • Copernicus Science Center.
  • Prague neighborhood.
  • Palace of Culture and Science.
  • Royal Castle.
  • The old city and the new city.

A city with a great history!

-Y- Yokohama (Japan)

abc yokohama

I've never been but would love to visit this city one day. That because? For all these reasons:

  1. To go up to the observatory of the 'Landmark Tower'.
  2. Go to the amusement park Cosmo world.
  3. Visit old ship Nippon Maru.
  4. Visit the Sankeien Japanese-style gardens.

A little known but very complete city to visit.

-Z- Zamora (Castilla y Leon)

abc zamora

If you like to go from church to church to contemplate its construction and architecture, if you like castles and the history that surrounds each of them, perhaps you should visit Zamora.

It is the typical site to visit on a weekend or holiday bridge, in which just walking through its steep and stone streets makes you feel good. A place with a lot of history and with a rustic beauty worth seeing.

And up to here our particular traveling alphabet. We hope you enjoyed reading us as much as I did writing it. Now we only need one thing: travel to these places! Happy weekend!
